What about withdrawals?

For the 1 Year Fixed Rate Bond no withdrawals are permitted once the account has been opened. For the 2 and 3 Year Fixed Rate Bond, withdrawals are allowed by cheque or transfer on up to 25% of your initial investment should the need arise. However, once a withdrawal is made, the funds cannot be replaced. If you’d like to find out more about investments that give you access to your money, the advisers at your local branch will be happy to help, or take a look at our other online savings accounts.

What will happen when the bond matures?

Before your bond matures, we’ll write to you with a range of investment opportunities that you may like to consider. When it matures, unless you tell us otherwise, we’ll transfer your investment into a variable rate access account which keeps your money growing while you plan your next move. To find out more, just pop into your local branch or call 08457 171777*.

Something to remember...

At Skipton, we continually monitor the market to make sure we offer great rates of interest. However things can change quickly – and sometimes we have to stop offering products sooner than we expected. That’s why we recommend that if you’re interested in a particular product, you act as soon as you can.
