Further terms and conditions for the Pension Plus Account

  1. Interest rates are variable.
  2. Withdrawals can be made or the account closed, on the instruction of the account holder, with easy access and without loss of interest. The minimum operating balance is £500 and withdrawals can be made by cheque for a minimum of £100 or by cash or transfer for which there is no minimum amount, provided the minimum balance is maintained.
  3. All transfers to and from other Skipton Building Society accounts (where applicable) are subject to the terms and conditions of those accounts.
  4. All accounts must have at least one direct pension credit (state or private) paid into the account on a regular basis (ie weekly/monthly). If the direct pension credit ceases, the account holder will become ineligible for the account and it will be transferred to our Branch Access Account. Please note that the bonus rate ordinarly applicable to the Branch Access Account will not be payable.
  5. The Pension Plus Account is a share account which confers membership rights and is subject to the Rules of the Society. Copies of the Rules can be obtained from any branch or from our Principal Office.
  6. This account is only available to individuals resident in the UK aged 50 or over. The account is not available to Trustees, Clubs or Associations.

AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the rate would be if interest was paid and added each year.

Gross means the interest paid before the deduction of income tax at 20%.
